Fishing in the province of Neuquén |

The whole province of Neuquén is furrowed by numerous and mighty rivers, lakes and lagoons that conform the basin more important hídrica of the country. It proves of this it is the localization of the hydroelectric works of The Chocón-hills Colorado, Alicurá, Collón Curá and Stone of the Eagle, Dike compensator of Stream and the Chañar. But for on all them two stand out fishing that, for their characteristics, they make them the most outstanding:

It has an extension of 240 m. approximately, being considered it the shortest river in the world. It is constituted in union of two lakes, the Drafty one and the Nahuel Huapí. Due to the existent difference (1,30 m.), the overturn of their waters in the Nahue Huapí at great speed takes place, what motivates its name. Their characteristics offer very oxygenated waters and the transfer of foods of a lake to other, you cause for which make of this place that the big trouts of the lake Nahuel Huapí takes it as concentration point and traffic during the whole year. It is recognized in the entire world by the fishermen of trouts, as the best fishing of this variety, for the quantity and quality of their pieces. Inside the fishing season (November-April) they are very defined their characteristics in what concerns to intensity of it itches and bigger possibilities of captures. This river shows two record in brown trout on its birth: a copy of 11,400 kg., and in trout rainbow, 8,600 kg. These record is in the modality fly, only modality of sport fishing admitted in the Drafty river and its two mouths. |

It is the most gifted region and with great variety of atmospheres for the fishing of trouts (Junín of the Andes), it is the mouth of the river Chimehuín that has their birth in the end this of the lake Huechulafquén. This mouth also recognized worldwide by the sport fishermen it is permanent attraction of all them; and it is also exclusive place for fishing with fly from their birth up to 500 m. you dilute below. The mouth of this river is attraction to the fishermen of trouts. In the first place the trouts that are achieved are of excellent quality, so much brown as rainbow; it is quite comfortable to fish but it requires knowledge and knowledge on the techniques and the place: the climatic conditions are often something adverse and they demand the fisherman all the knowledge and capacity for the launching and, lastly, inside the modality different variants can be used. Inside the record that registers the mouth of the Chimehuín, they can be mentioned: brown trout of 9,4 kg. and 8,2 kg., and something more under the area preference, brown trout of 11 kg. of weight.
In this whole province they are plentiful, like in many other but very especially in the Patagonia, the solitary places not very far from centers viales, of main roads or of populated centers but yes the sufficiently hidden ones as to remain practically unknown of the common denominator of the fishermen and, also, of the hunters. |
