Introduced fish in Argentina

Brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis)

It is an endemic species of the east of the United States . By the quality of his meat and its beauty, one has become one of the species more looked for and appreciated by the sport fishermen, which caused that it expanded by Europe, South America, Asia and New Zealand. However, because it only adapts to waters of smaller temperature than the other salmónidos ones, its distribution more is restricted. In Argentina it populates most of the lakes, cold lagoons and some rivers and I am transparent of the Patagonia and some rivers of the north like in pamapa of Achala, Cordova that generates attractive a different one by a type of fishing with light pack light field equipment in spite of its small bearings. He is but the attractiveness of all the fish of the group of charrs by his remarkable coloration. The back is green olive with vermiculadas spots (with form of worms or vermes) of yellow color. Pectoral, pelvic the fins, anal and of great volume present the white previous end with the black edge. On his flanks it often has red dots surrounded by I pull ahead bluish. It is a belief generalized between the fishermen who are lacking of grudges. However, unlike the other salmónidos ones, its body is covered with them, although they are very small. It is fed on snails and a great variety of invertebrates that populate streams or fall accidentally to the water. In general the cold mountain streams have a very poor nutritious fauna, thus the feeding, next to the low temperatures, is a determinant of the limited corporal development that reaches this species and it turns it the salmónido one that reaches minors statures. However, in the zone of Pico River (Chubut), they are frequent the units that surpass the 4 kilograms and information of a stream trout fished in the lake is had Winter of almost 6 kilograms who was not accredited like record. Beyond the anecdote, one of the reasons by which not only the stream trouts but all the salmónidos ones reach worthy statures of mention is the excellent quality of waters of lakes and rivers of that region. This is synthesized in pure waters, transparent, with abundant and diverse nutritious fauna, ideal and free temperatures of contamination.
