Rafting in Hua-Hum River

You first have to settle date and time table with any of the local travel agencies. Then there are three alternatives to get to the starting point of the floating trip.

The first choice is for you to buy the rafting trip plus the transportation to the starting point. The second choice is to buy a ticket for the lake excursion up to the Hua Hum port and then joining the rafting trip at the meeting point. And the third is for you to go up to the starting point in your own car.

If you choose to go in your own car you must follow these steps. Book the rafting trip beforehand at one of the local agencies, then leave the city by National Route 234. After 2 kilometers turn left and take Provincial Route 48, which will take you to the meeting point at Hua Hum.

Get Ready to enjoy. You are about to make the crossing of the Andes on board a rubber raft with a double keel, which is steered by expert rowers. They will take you across the valdivian jungle, through rapids, thermal fountains and all of nature's show. The trip on the raft ends after 8 kilometers at a place called Pirihueico in Chile .

Your return by van and the Migration-Customs paperwork is done on the way back. You will need IDs and in the case of children travelling without one of their parents, the corresponding authorization. The rapids along the way are only degree 2 . This makes the experience valid for the whole family.

The Hua Hum river flows toward the Pacific Ocean while the rest of the Argentine rivers do the opposite. It enters a series of lakes and rivers until it reaches the Calle Calle river in the Chilean city of Valdivia . When you talk of Hua Hum in Patagonia , you are talking of adventure and rafting.
