The north of the province of Santa Fé is inserted in the region Chaqueña; the rest of the same one, integrates the region Pampeana.

The province of Santa Fé limits to the north with the province of the Chaco; to the east, with Corrientes and Entre Ríos; to the south, with Buenos Aires; and to the west, with Santiago del Estero Tideland and Córdoba. It is a mediterranean province that has exit to the sea for the river Paraná and the river de la Plata.

The province in numbers

Santa Fé is divided administratively in 19 departments. It has a surface of 133.007 km2. In 1991 their population belonged to 2.828.596 inhabitants: 1.385.134 males and 1.443.462 women. (data of the National institute of Statistic and censuses - INDEC).

The capital is Santa Fe and its main cities are: Rosario, Rafaela, Venado Tuerto, Cañada of Gómez and Villa Constitution.
